Beauty School Trends and Tips
This section is specifically designed to give you a quick overview of the latest trends and tips from the beauty world.Hair
- Ride high on waves: This season is all about wavy hair. To get waves, add a texturizing product in your damp hair. Then twist and twirl sections of your hair with your fingers to have that natural curl look. Spray and voila!
- Static should only be electricity: Get rid of frizzy static hair by rubbing a dryer sheet on your hair top to bottom.
- Droopy no more: Want to wear a hat but don't want hair to look flat? Just gather two sections of your hair in a pony tail on top of your head. When you take your hat off, your hair will look gorgeous with the volume!
- Bye bye frizzy!: Apply serums and leave on conditioners to combat the frizz in your hair. Blow dry your hair with a round brush. This also helps in fighting the frizz.
- TIP Me!: Always clean your hair brush regularly as the product and dirt can harden the bristles.
Skin
- Shelter from the Sun: Makeup can not protect your skin from the harmful sunrays. Always apply a moisturizer that contains sunscreen before applying the foundation. This goes not just for your face but also for your hands, face, neck and chest.
- Water, water everywhere: Did you know that 72% of your body is composed of water? This fact should put you in the direction of hydrating yourself on a regular basis around the clock. Sodas and other such sugary drinks can not substitute water. You must drink 6-10 glasses of water everyday. Just try it and see what wonders it does for your skin.
- A Pimple? - Oh No!: Last night you didn't have any pimple and now you wake you up with some serious acne around your mouth, chin or cheeks. Maybe its time you cleaned your phone as some bacteria sticking to the phone is doing the damage.
- TIP Me!: Soak your feet in Epsom salt and warm water to pamper your feet. This also helps in getting rid of any swelling on your feet and removes tired skin.
Nails
- Soak 'em in!: Heal your cuticles by soaking them in warm water for 15 minutes. Don't push your cuticles as it damages your nails and skin. For healthy cuticles, apply lotion or oil on them.
- Hygiene is important: Always clean your manicuring tools. This helps fungus or bacteria from spreading to your nails and into your body.
- Hard as a Rock: If you want hard nails, swipe a little polish under the tip of your nail after applying nail polish. This prevents any breaking and splitting of nails.
- TIP Me!: Did you know that applying a clear coat of nail polish every night prevents any cracking or chipping of nails.
Makeup
- Let the Lips do the talking: There is a no bigger turn off than chipped off and dry lips. In order to keep your lips looking luscious, apply a lip balm, petroleum jelly or a moisturizer on your lips every night before going to bed.
- Dark Circles No More: Apply a lighter foundation under your eyes to conceal dark circles.
- All Eyes on You: To get a dramatic affect for your eyes, apply a darker shade near your lashes and a lighter shade on the lids of your eyes. Blend the colors for a seamless finish.
- TIP Me!: To accentuate your eyes, use a softer color on your lips.
Trends
- Bang, Boom Bang!: Side-swept bangs are a rage this season as they go on any face shape.
- Light as a feather: Lighter and natural shades for your hair color will help you look cool, suave and trendy this season. Lowlights is the in thing to go for. Make sure that you choose a lighter hair tone for your hair that compliments your skin.
- Hello Bob: Bob cuts are never out. This season they are back once again with lowlights. Bob with razor sleek angles and side-swept bangs are a sure hit for most of the women.
